Shannon Molly Lewis, 59, of Tri-Cities, WA, passed away on August 20, 2022 in Kennewick, WA.  She was born on December 10, 1962 in Richland, WA to John and Lovejoy Morey.  Shannon was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia in January 2021 and fought so hard, never giving up and giving it her all, until she passed away.  Her sister, Margaret, was a match and graciously became a stem cell transplant donor for Shannon.

Shannon was a dedicated wife, mother of four, sister to many, and friend to everyone.   Shannon had a deep passion for all she was involved with. She was a volunteer with the Red Cross as a Disaster Action Team member for seven years.   Shannon traveled to numerous disaster areas with Red Cross to provide relief to those in need of assistance.  In 2014, she earned the Red Cross Disaster Action Team Member of the year.

Shannon loved her family, she had four children and four grandchildren, with whom she loved spending time with, chasing her grandsons around.  She had a passion for crafting, making home and holiday décor.   She spent countless hours crafting with her sister, Shawn, always creating the most wonderful creations.  Gardening was another big passion of Shannon’s, she loved all things plants and all the flowers.  She passed her love and knowledge of gardening to her children.  You would always find her inside a nursery, lost within all the plants.   Every summer, she would visit her sister, Margaret, and would return home with a car full of new plants!

Shannon is survived by her husband, Robert E. Lewis; her children, Jamie Haren (Josh), Joshua Lewis (Hayley), Jacob Lewis, and Jonah Lewis.  Her siblings, Lyllyan Harmston (Dale), Bill Morey (Lori), Margaret Morey, Shawnlee Dodd (Edwin), and Kelly Bell (Dean).   She is preceded in death by her father John Morey; her mother, Lovejoy Morey; and her grandson, Tyler Roy.

Shannon will be so fiercely missed.  In lieu of flowers, Shannon would love it if you took your time to donate blood, platelets, and/or plasma, even just once, in honor of her.  She used so many blood and platelet transfusions during her long battle with Leukemia.
