Peggy Ann (Williamson) Watson Dale passed away at 1:15pm on December 31, 2016 at the age of 76 in Kadlec Regional Medical Center in Richland, Washington. Peggy struggled with an auto immune disorder which in the end caused Kidney failure. She was surrounded by family.

Peggy was born in Dallas, Oregon on January 12, 1940 to Ralph Henry and Ida May Williamson. Six weeks later moved to the Yakima Valley, where she attended Parker Heights Elementary, then on to Wapato High School where she met and married Robert Ray Watson. In July of 1958 they moved to Seattle for a couple years. They then moved to Richland, and after ten years of marriage and three kids they divorced. After being single for five years she met and married the love of her life Herbert James Dale. They were married 40 years and a few days when he passed away in 2012. Her hobbies were reading, square dancing, camping, fishing, sewing, traveling and plastic canvas.

Peggy worked at The Fort Restaurant in Wapato as a waitress, then for Dr. Ferguson and Dr. Harding in Pasco, Desert Veterinary Clinic in Richland as a bookkeeper, then in security for the Department of Energy. She retired due to Crohn's Disease. While struggling with her weight she turned to TOPS (Take off Pounds Sensibly). She learned to take the weight off, and with help from friends and family she made it to her goal in 2012. She became queen runner up for the state of Washington after losing a total of 140 lbs. Peggy was an active member of the Prairie Shufflers Square Dance Club for 34 years. She held several offices such as; President, Secretary, Treasurer, decoration committee, and rental agent until 2007. She and Herb moved to “The Manor at Canyon Lakes” where they helped build a library of large print books. She loved meeting with the residents there to talk about current events each week.

Peggy is preceded in death by her parents, Ralph Henry and Ida May Williamson, ex-husband, Robert Ray Watson, Sr., brother Raymond Dale Williamson, sister Nancy Jean (Williamson) Traub, grandson Brad Dale, and her husband Herbert James Dale. She is survived by her sister, Betty Fay (Williamson) Allard (Gary), brother-in-law Charles Traub Jr, sister-in-law Cora Lord, son Robert R. Watson Jr. (Susan), daughter Linda (Watson) Gibson (Lynn), son David Watson (Debbie), stepson’s  John Renshaw (Allison), John Dale (Jenae), Michael Dale (Ellen), Patrick Dale, David Dale (Leslie), numerous nieces and nephews, cousins, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, as well as many friends that are considered family.

A memorial service will be held February 11, 2017 at 2:00pm at Bethel Church. There will be no graveside services.

It is with great sorrow we report our mother’s passing; she will be missed by all.
