Klaus J. Karl, 69, of Pasco, WA, passed away January 15, 2016 at Kadlec Regional Medical Center. He was born on September 20, 1946 in Berlin Germany. He lived in Germany until 1952 and then moved to Seattle, WA with is mother and step-father.  

Klaus joined the US Army in 1963 at the age of 17 and was honorably discharged in 1966. He was hired to work with the railroad in Seattle, WA and was later transferred to Pasco, WA. Klaus was with the Burlington Northern Railroad Company for over 40 years until retiring in 2007 as a Tower Operator for Burlington Northern Railroad Santa Fe.

He is survived by his three daughters, Crissie Beasley, Jennifer (Scott) McCown and Stefanie Karl. Klaus is also survived by his eight grandchildren, Clarence L. Johnson V;  Noah Johnson, Nathan Beasley, Brittanie McCown, Tyler McCown, Gabe Karl-Galvan, Aiden Karl-Galvan and Gideon Karl-Galvan.

Klaus was preceded in death by his mother, Christel Smith and step-father, Dale Smith.

A Graveside Inurnment will be held on Saturday, February 13, 2016 at Sunset Gardens in Richland, WA at 1:00pm with Military Honors. Immediately following the graveside, the family would like to invite you to a Celebration of Life for Klaus at Events at Sunset.
