1929-2016
Sherman Carl Miller passed away May 5th, 2016. He left this world to be with our Lord and Savior at the tender age of 86.
Sherman was born in Chicago, IL on November 24th 1929 to Lillian and Herman Miller. The oldest of two boys, Sherman joined his dad’s business and became a plumber at a young age. In 1948, he met the love of his life Earleen Ewing and they married July 2nd, 1949. They had three children and remained married until Earleen’s passing in 2013.
Sherman was a lifelong member of Plumbers Union local 598. He lived in the Tri-Cities for 38 years and was always willing to donate his time and lend a helping hand. After working hard for his family, he finally retired at age 70. After retirement; Sherman enjoyed traveling, gardening, Mariner’s baseball, spending time with family and eating Earleen’s delicious cooking.
He was preceded in death by his wife Earleen Mary Miller and his brother Norman Miller.
Sherman is survived by his three children; Ted Miller, Sherleen Devos and Elizabeth Miller; his 6 grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
A celebration of Sherman’s life will be held at Sunset Memorial Gardens on May 21st at 3:00 p.m.
