James Kohler

James Edward Kohler was born in New York City April 17, 1942 and passed September 15, 2016.

Jim had humble roots; raised in upstate New York on a dairy farm.  At the age of 18, he joined the Air Force which brought him to the state of Washington.  Ever ambitious, the Air Force provided an opportunity to pursue his career as an Engineer.  He continued his studies at the University of Washington having obtained degrees in Ceramic Engineering and Business Administration.  He was a passionate engineer, having expertise in product engineering, nuclear fuel and aerospace.

He is survived by his wife Cecilia of 43 years and two sons, Brandon (Kelly) and Nathan, who share his closest passions of trading and engineering and grandson Connor, Brother Vincent Jr., Sister Arlene and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother Lillian and father, Vincent Sr. his sisters Jeanne and Roberta.

A public viewing will be held at Einan’s Funeral home on Tuesday September 20, 2016 from 5-7 p.m. with internment at Holyrood Catholic Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the J.I. Muller Scholarship Fund, University of Washington.

You will never know the true meaning of a moment until it becomes a memory. We are very blessed to have a lifetime of wonderful memories. He was very much loved and will be greatly missed.
