Dulce Maria (Candace) Quintero, 56, of Richland WA passed away in her home on February 8, 2017. She was born in San Antonio, TX on October 21, 1960.

Candace had a lifelong friendship with the Day family who were her neighbors growing up.  She graduated from Providence HS in 1978.  After HS she attended Trinity University in San Antonio majoring in accounting.  She worked as a grocery store checker to pay her way through college.

She married Roger in the base chapel at Lackland AFB in TX in 1984. She planned their full traditional wedding while he completed officer training school. In 32 years of marriage she was dedicated to caring for her husband and creating a warm home. 

Candace was diagnosed with cancer in 2011 but overcame it with great courage and faith. She continued to love gardening, her dogs, and sharing lifelong lessons with her circle of close friends.  She was a source of wisdom, grounded in her strong and steadfast Christian faith, for all who knew her.

Dulce is survived by her husband, Roger Quintero.

A Memorial Service will be held at Einan’s at Sunset on Thursday, February 16, 2017 at 4:00pm. A graveside inurnment will be held at a later date in Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery in San Antonio, TX.
