Diana Deichelbohrer
Diana M. Deichelbohrer was born in Kansas City, Missouri, in 1942. As a child she always wanted to be involved with horses. She attended the University of Wisconsin, graduating with honors and a BA degree in Journalism. After graduating she wrote a column for the Credit Union National Association (CUNA) called “Everybody’s Money”. She married her husband Paul in 1966. In 1970, they moved to Brazil, where she rode at the HIPICA, a Brazilian horseback riding club, and got her first horse. After returning to the U.S. they moved to Dallas, Texas and she worked for the Texas Society of Public Accountants. While in Dallas she purchased what became her favorite horse, Jeeves. In 1976, they moved to Richland, Washington and she helped form the Columbia Hunter Jumper Club, where she wrote a column for the “In Stride” newsletter and organized the Summer Fun Shows. She was also an active member of the Richland Riders Club, where she organized the installation of the wash rack, and the perimeter trees on the Van Giesen side of the club. One of these trees was planted in Jeeves’ honor. She was a world traveler who went to Germany, Scotland, England, Ireland, and Australia. In the later years of her life, Diana became a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. She passed away on September 19, 2017 in Kennewick, Washington. She is survived by her husband Paul Deichelbohrer.

We had many good times as children. We wrote letters to each other (on real paper) and sent through the mail. I admired all your accomplishments. So happy you’re at peace now. No more suffering. You married a good man. May God be with you Paul in the days and months ahead. LOVE,Judy
We are so very sad to learn of Diana’s passing. Diana was a wonderful loving person with a beautiful heart and caring soul. We will miss her greatly and feel fortunate to have had her in our lives. Our deepest and most sincere condolences to her husband Paul.
