Don Boss

Don James Boss of Pasco, Washington passed away on September 15, 2017 at the age of 78.

Don was born in Fargo, North Dakota to parents Benjamin Boss and Gladys Gail (Glanville) Boss, and grew up in Jamestown, North Dakota.  He graduated from North Central High School, Spokane, WA in 1957. He joined the Navy in November of 1957, and served on the USS Hornet.  He had an honorary discharge after serving 4 years.

He married Sharon Pardun in 1958. They were married for 20 years and had 5 children. He married Martha Stark in 1978 who had 4 daughters.  From that day on, he stated he had 9 children.  They just celebrated their 39th wedding anniversary in April of this year.

Don was a man of many talents.  He was an advertising manager for Safeway, he owned an advertising agency, held a real estate license in three different states and was a general manager in radio.  In addition, he was a talented artist, writer and a creative genius, and loved entertaining his 28 grandchildren, and 6 great-grandchildren. He loved fishing, camping, golf and most importantly, being surrounded by family.  Family gatherings consisted of food, fun, playing games, magic tricks, love and laughter. 

Don is survived by his loving wife Martha Boss of Pasco, WA.  He is also survived by his children Steven Boss of Odessa, WA, Laurie Boss of Spokane, WA, Casey Boss of Wasilla, AK, James Boss of Odessa, WA, Cory Boss of Odessa, WA, Tammy Hancock of Maple Valley, WA, Lori Caperoon of Marysville, WA, Dani Boss of Portland, OR, and Sheri Byther of Bellevue, WA; nieces Mary (Ron) Naccarato of Meridian, ID, Cheryl Erickson of Spokane, WA, and Becky (Phai) Phonsopha of Aloha, OR; nephews David Erickson of Oakland, MD, Gary (Vicki) Erickson of Medical Lake, WA, Dennis (Patty) Erickson of Spokane Valley, WA, and Dwight Boss of Aloha, OR.

He is preceded in death by his parents, brother, Robert Boss, sister Beverly Erickson and grandson Damien Boss.
