Mrs. Elsie Marie Benton

Mrs. Elsie Marie Benton, age 93, of Fayetteville, Georgia, passed away peacefully on Monday, August 29 at her residence. She was born April 9, 1923 in Bonesteel, South Dakota to Mr. And Mrs. Charles Dalay. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 59 years, Stanley Benton, and one daughter, Laura Steffen.

They lived in Richland, Washington for over 50 years. When Stanley became ill she took care of him and then became an LPN and continued to care of people. She moved to Georgia 10 years ago to be closer to family.

Elsie is survived by her one daughter, Julie Blackwell of Palmetto, GA; one sister, Darleen Pell of Yakima, WA; four grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and two great great-grandchildren.

A graveside service will be held Thursday, September 1, 2016 at 3:30pm at Sunset Gardens in Richland, WA.
