Cherie Williamson

Cherie M. Williamson, aged 89, passed away on October 25, in Kennewick, Washington. Born on August 29, 1936, in Spokane, Washington to Ralph and

Josephine Mckinnon. She grew up in Spokane and Richland, attending Carmichael Junior High and Columbia High School. Cherie’s Life was marked by her kindness and loving nature, her dedication to her family and her passion for her career.

Cherie started her working career at the Hanford Site in the 1970’s. She held many positions and eventually retired as Senior Project Analyst in the early 1990’s. Cherie truly loved her job and the people she worked with.

Cherie’s proudest moments came from her family life. She was a loving wife to her husband, Ray Williamson and loved both of her children Cheryl and David. She also loved her role as a grandmother to Mason and Hannah. She loved to take them to the park, make cookies and playdough. As they grew older, she enjoyed watching them in their sports and music activities.

When Cherie wasn’t watching her grandchildren, Cherie and Ray would load up the motor home and explore the Pacific Northwest campgrounds. Cherie also enjoyed reading, crocheting, needle points and baking.

She is survived by her husband; Ray Williamson, children Cheryl, David (Jill) and her grandchildren Mason and Hannah; sister Donna White and Cousin Jackie Smith who was like another sister to her. Cherie is proceeded in death by her parents Ralph and Josephine McKinnon,

In lieu of flowers, please donate to the American Cancer Society.
