  • To the family:

We are so sorry for your loss. We missed both Marge & Les when we moved from Tigard 1 1/2 years ago & they will both be in our prayers. Marge had us over to visit for coffee & many times we waved from accross the street on Watkins Ave in Tigard. Our paths were meant to cross it seems..We lived in the Bend area when their grandson Joshua was ill & our son Justin is the same age so when we moved to Tigard they enjoyed having Justin near by to help when he could. Watch the home when they travelled to friends, or mow the lawn, etc..Les worked with Jerry’s uncle Arnold Altig for many years a the lumber company in Tigard but we didn’t know that until Arnold passed away & both Les & Marge treated us as though we were their own children. Anyone should be so lucky to have Marge or Les as surrogate parents. We will miss them both so dearly & know they once again are together for eternity.

    Our loss was Gods gain.

  • Dear Carolyn and Fred,

We were out of town at the time of your mom’s passing and memorial service. You have been through so much this past year, and just know that our love and prayers are with you and your family.

  • Carolyn’s mother, Marjorie, almost lost me as a potential son-in-law when she announced to me that I was marrying a family not just Carolyn. Carolyn’s mom & dad had driven down to Corvallis from their home in Portland as soon as they heard that I had given Carolyn my fraternity pin. They had Carolyn sit between them in the front seat of the car and I was to sit in the back seat as Marjorie made this pronouncement. This last year has been a major blessing in my life as I got to closely share Les & Marge in the last months of their lives.

  • Our family grows smaller as it grows bigger! It’s exciting to welcome the new, but devastating to say good bye to the old. I remember with fond memories the times our families spent together as we grew up from youngsters to become the Adults we are today with our own families. I will dearly miss Marge and Les. Tammy’s and my thoughts and prayers are with that side of the family, we love you all.
