From Richland, WA, US | Born in Bakersfield, California

Lawrence H. Krause

Thirty years ago Lawrence suffered a debilitating accident that ended a successful sales career and left him confined to bed and a wheelchair the rest of his life. He suffered the frustration of one whose lifestyle was curtailed and whose body was often in great pain. But he had a zest for life and commitment to his wife Norma, daughters Nadine Krauss-¬Cox and Terrie Duby, grandchildren Sabrina Duby, Whitney Duby and Tristan Cox, that would not allow him to concede to the despondency and surrender of one who gives up.

Lawrence's childhood sweetheart and wife of 45 years passed in 2001, dealing another blow to his painful life. With love and support from daughters and grandchildren, he pressed on, smiling and laughing as often as he was able. They and two sisters, Sharon Summers and Velda, survive him today.

Quoting from Psalm 23: Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I fear no evil for thou art with me....And I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever.

Lawrence dwells there today and now sits in the presence of the Lord, his wife, parents, and great-grandson Malachi Duby. Today we celebrate the courageous life of Lawrence Krauss. And today Lawrence, your daughters and grandchildren yet believe their cheeks still squeak for you!
