Chiyo lived a long, wonderful life as a loving mother, a caring sister and aunt, an amazing wife to her late husband George, and a friend to so many. She was an active and beloved member of her church.  She loved her family, and doted on her cherished dogs—Buster, Chibi and Wendy. For many years, she worked long, exhausting hours alongside her husband on the family farm.  In addition to keeping pace with him to ensure their fields flourished, she also took care of their home, children and her expansive, personal garden.  Family and friends were often the fortunate beneficiaries of her very green thumb.  

Certainly, Chiyo’s life was not always an easy one.  She faced many difficult times during her almost 100 years.  However, nothing could ever dampen her sweet smile or silence her infectious laugh.  She was truly an inspiration and a joy to be around.  She will be dearly missed, but always remembered with love and gratitude for the kindness she showed to all those lucky enough to know her.
