Celebration of Life
Deborah Herman
On Tuesday October 19 2021 Deborah Roberta Herman, passed away in Kennewick Wa. surrounded by her family @ the age of 77.
Deborah was born on July 4, 1944, in Detroit Michigan. She raised three sons, Jason, Damon, and Darren. She has nine grandchildren, Tyler, Dalton, Dillon, Abigail, Hailey, Taryk, Mackenzie, Noah, and Olivia. Debbie has four surviving siblings, Joan, Ellen, John Preston, and Dolly. She is preceded in death by her parents, Mildred, and John Rials.
Deborah, known affectionately as Debbie , didn’t just deeply love her family and friends, we know she did that. She also displayed something called “sacrificial love”-the kind of love one gives even if it hurts, or is inconvenient, or when you are dog tired and you can hardly put one foot in front of the next. The kind of love where you don’t expect anything in return. The kind of love Debbie gave when she took a full time job at a bread factory (while still in high school) to support her family when her dad lost his job. The kind of love that, while a single parent worked two full time minimum wage jobs to provide food, shelter, and clothing for her children. The kind of love she gave when she opened her home to her younger sister to provide a safe environment. The kind of love she gave through her “open door” policy. If you needed food or shelter, she would provide. If you needed anything that was within her power to do, it would be given. There are so many times where she lived and loved like that, we could write a book. Deborah Herman lived Sacrificial Love her entire life.
We hope she felt our gratitude and our love in return. We were blessed to have her in our lives. We are comforted to know she rests in the loving arms of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
A celebration of life/funeral service will be held on, December 4,2021 at Einan’s at Sunset Event Center starting at 1:00 pm. Flowers may be sent to 915 Bypass Hwy, Richalnd WA 99352.
Debbie was a wonderful person. I’ve known her since we were 12 or 13 years in Detroit . I truly love her and I will miss her!!!!!!!
I just want to say that Debbie was an inspiration to me and I have nothing but love when I think of her.
