Bette Jean Minor Holihan

BJ Holian, 77, passed away peacefully on December 30, 2021, at Chandler Hospital, in Chandler Arizona. On the 2nd of December 1944, she was born in Ellensburg Washington, the daughter of Floyd Minor and Jean (Hentz) Minor.

BJ grew up in Ellensburg, WA and enjoyed a life of ranching, riding her horses, and participating in the Royal Court.   She had two daughters Jeannie Peterson and Janet Rodgers as well as two stepchildren Peggy Klingeman and David Reichert. She was a beloved member of the Columbia Basin community and participated in helping lead 4-H in Royal City.

After moving to Othello, she devoted her life to shaping the futures of her children and many grandchildren by teaching them the importance of responsibility, hard work, and most of all love.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her siblings, Buck Minor and Peg Hunt along with her grandson Justin Rodgers.

She is survived by her children, stepchildren, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren as well as her devoted and loving husband Mike Holihan with whom she had shared five wonderful years of laughter and love in their home of Yuma, Arizona.

A service remembrance will be held to celebrate BJ’s incredible life at 1 pm on June 18, 2022, in Tri-Cities WA at Events at Sunset.  You will be able to watch the service from their website live or watch it at your convenience for 30 days after.  Due to Covid, we will be limiting the memorial to close family.
