Kathlynn “K-Lynn” Beckner Avery
Kathlynn “K-Lynn” Beckner Avery, 72, of Rochester, WA, passed away Sunday, February 27th, 2022, in her home in Rochester. K-Lynn was born October 10th, 1949, at Fitzsimons General Hospital.
K-Lynn was adopted and raised by her loving parents Orvel (Beck) & Audra Beckner on the “Beckner’s Blue Columbia Angus Ranch” in Finley, WA. K-Lynn attended school in the Finley School District K-12 and graduated from River View High School in 1968. She showed registered angus cattle and horses for 26 years at the Benton County Fair and Rodeo.
K-Lynn married Chuck Faubert in February of 1971, 10 years later their family was complete when they welcomed their daughter Audeena Michelle. K-Lynn’s greatest achievement was her daughter for 38 years until her grandson was born and then she had two great achievements in life. K-Lynn worked in retail and sales for several years at J.C. Penney’s, Corral West, and then at Ranch and Home before her retirement.
On April 1st, 2012, K-Lynn married her loving husband Donald (Don) Avery in Rochester, WA, where they enjoyed retired life to its fullest. They enjoyed going to the local casino, woodworking, gardening, and their dog Tilly.
K-Lynn enjoyed spending time and visiting with her family and friends. She was always there to brighten the lives of others with her contagious laugh and smile. K-Lynn was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, daughter, aunt, and friend. She will forever be missed and always in our hearts.
K-Lynn is survived by her daughter Audeena (Jeff) Smith, grandson Cole Smith, her husband Don Avery, her stepson Donnie (Collette) Avery, granddaughters Angela Gress, Crystal (Ryan) Gress, great-grandsons Preston and Jace Gress, and great-granddaughter Claire Gress.
She was preceded in death by her parents Orvel (Beck) and Audra Beckner, brother John Beckner, sisters Sherry Powell and Barbara Proctor. A graveside service will be held Wednesday, March 9th, at 2:00pm at Einan’s at Sunset in Richland, WA. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date at her daughter’s home in Kennewick, WA.
My prayers are with all the family and friends. KLynn left this world too early. I remember so many things and fun times we had. I’m sorry I could not come today as I am not feeling g to well. Love, Loretta
