D. Jeff Howard

Jeff Howard was born at St. Vincent Hospital in Portland Oregon on December 10, 1945 to Margaret and Claude Howard.  Jeff entered into rest on March 19, 2022.  Jeff was raised in Vancouver Washington and was a 1964 Hudson’s Bay graduate.  He was a Vietnam Veteran and went twice to help make the world a better place.  Jeff retired from the Clark County Sheriff Office after serving 25+ years.  He is survived by his wife Liz, sons Tim and Tony (Carie), 5 grandchildren,  and sister in law Diane (Charlie).  Jeff loved travel, dancing, golf and meeting with friends and family.

  • Liz, I remember when I saw you and Jeff at Vancouver Mall and told me about getting rid of old gold so you could use it for travels. It was like talking and laughing with the two of you yesterday instead a gap of years. You both are special people and I wish you peace as you go through these times. It’s not an easy journey but I hope wonderful memories help you through.

  • Jeff was my first training officer in December of 1988. I will always be grateful for all he taught me. I can still hear his laugh. Such a wonderful man. He made Clark County a better place. Rest In Peace Jeff.
