Nusorn Bovornassavaurai

Nusorn “Gim Giao” Bovornassavaurai, passed away peacefully on June 29, 2022, at Swedish Cherry Hill hospital in Seattle at the age of 84. Nusorn was born in Thailand into a family of seven children. She received training to obtain her cosmetology license and then opened her own hair salon while living in Thailand, before eventually moving to the United States in the 1980’s. Being the hard worker that she was, she worked multiple jobs including at Lamb Weston for over 36-years, where she was still employed at the time of her passing. Her passion for food and cooking was known to many around her due to the culinary skills she gained from working in multiple restaurants. Her loving and compassion will be missed by her family, friends, and those that have known Nusorn.

In lieu of flowers, please make donations in her name to Wat Richland Buddhavanaram (879 Bretz PR NE, Richland, WA 99352)

  • Nusorn had the purest soul of anyone I have ever met in my life. She always went out of her way to try to brighten somebody’s day. The world just got a little darker without her without her in it.
