Richland resident Cleo Mae Scott (nee White) departed this earth for heavenly shores on April 5, 2023. She was born on May 30, 1926 in Albuquerque, New Mexico. She was raised and attended school in Albuquerque and at the University of New Mexico where she met the love of her life, Mr. Courtney Denny Scott, whom she married on Dec 22, 1946. They remained married until he preceded her in death in 1985. They lived and raised their family in New Mexico, Kentucky, Idaho, Maryland, and Richland. She was a great mother and an active and talented ceramicist and china painter and won numerous awards. She is survived by her sister, Mrs. Annie English of Priest River, ID, and 3 children – Courtney Jr of Colorado Springs, Nancy Cross of San Antonio TX, and Stanley Scott of Kennewick, and by 7 grandchildren and 1 great-grand child.
You will be missed. Enjoy your new home in heaven. Joseph & Annie English.
Cleo is very special. My family moved to town in October 1975. We had a 4 year old daughter and my wife was pregant and due in December. The last week of November we moved into a house. On Thursday Nivember 28th Cleo came over and unpacked our belongings and help organize our kitchen. On Saturday November 30th our second daughter was born. I will alaways remember that act of Christian generousity.
