FEMA Helps Families Honor a Loved One Lost to COVID-19
The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) is offering qualified families up to $9,000 for funeral expenses incurred due to the death of a loved one from COVID-19.
We Can Help You Honor a Loved One Many families have delayed services until it is safe to gather. If you and your family wish to plan a memorial service in your loved one’s honor that includes others within your circle of family and friends – something that many families find to be a meaningful experience – we are here to help. Expenses for memorial services may also be eligible for FEMA COVID-19 Funeral Assistance.* Ask for Full-Details About the FEMA Funeral Assistance Program. * Families may apply now for reimbursement of expenses for services already performed for a loved one whose death was due to COVID-19. Reimbursement for expenses for services not yet performed will require families to amend their application. FEMA recommends waiting until after all services have been contracted to avoid the hassle of amending an initial application.
