Margaret “Peggy” Erma Huston

February 10, 1929 - May 22, 2016

Peggy (Urie) Huston passed away peacefully in her sleep on Sunday morning, May 22nd.  She was 87.

She was born in Detroit, Michigan to Irma and JW “Jack” Urie, the middle of three children.  She moved from Detroit to St. Paul, MN and from there to Peoria, IL, then on to Burlington, IA.  She moved to Pasco her sophomore year of high school (where she met a certain Harvey who was always taking the bobby pins out her braids in study hall), but moved to Seattle for her junior year.  She completed high school at Highline High School, in Burien, WA, while Harvey served in WWII.  She studied music at Central Washington College of Education, now Central Washington University.   She married Harvey F Huston March 22, 1947 and moved to Pasco, where they began an adventure that lasted until his death in 1991.  After Harvey’s death, she continued to live life to the fullest.  She loved God and she loved people.  She left nothing undone or unsaid.  She had the voice of an angel, loved to sing and dance, and was active in her church.

Peggy was preceded in death by her husband, Harvey, her parents and her brother JW Urie.

She is survived by her ten children, Harvey Huston, Terry Huston (Sharon), Richard Huston, Peggy Thornhill, John Huston (Janice), Mark Huston (Debra), Linda Weisburg (William), Lori Hays, Scott Huston (Sandi) and Kim Terlson (Brent).  Also 37 grandchildren, 48 great grandchildren, 1 great, great grandchild, her brother Richard Urie (Sandie) and 10 nieces and nephews.

There will be a celebration of Peggy’s life at Desert Springs Covenant Church, 9915 W Argent Road, Pasco, at 4pm on Saturday, June 4th.
