Edna M. Mercer Einan, passed away after a long illness May 14, 2017 at the home of her daughter, Debbie Richman, in Pasco, WA. She was born on December 3, 1937, in Brewster, KS, to Charles Franklin Gage and Dora Butler Gage, and was the youngest of four children. She married her high school sweetheart, Dale W. Mercer and together they raised four children on the family wheat farm on Horse Heaven in Prosser. Dale passed away in 1984. In 1988 she was married to Duaine L. Einan of Richland, and they made their home in Richland until Duaine’s passing in 2005.
Edna took pride in providing the noon meals to the wheat-harvest crew, enjoyed 30/70 dances with friends, Horse Heaven Grange Hall parties, square-dancing, and was on a Prosser bowling league. Later in life, she enjoyed spending time with her family, especially the Sunday get-togethers for dinner. She also adored her poodle, Belle, and was rarely seen without her four-legged companion.

She was such a loving person and special Aunt. So glad I got one last visit with her so we could laugh and hug one last time. Now we have all the Gage girls watching out for us.
Love you
Live a few doors down from Edna. Sorry to hear of her passing. She always loved to greet our standard poodle when we walked by her house. She would stop her car in the neighboorhood just to say hi to Sadie. It was a privledge to shovel her driveway for her last winter.
