  • I remember Blanche fondly. I worked at The Hair Hut salon for years, and always enjoyed Blanche each week when she would come to have her hair done. What a sweet lady she was. Also enjoyed Henry when he would come with her a few times. My sympathies to her family, I know you all will miss her. God bless you all.

  • Grandma Lee, I Love thee

I met Grandma Lee the winter of ‘85,

She was pretty spunky, hip and full of life.

She gave me a hug and a tender kiss,

Welcome to our family “Canadian Miss”.

We sat down and chatted for a spell,

There were many questions and stories to tell.

Growing up in Missouri and moving out west,

Henry Lee said, “ It would be for the best”.

She raised a family and looked after baby Dave,

While Bud & Carolyn scrimped for every penny to save.

People ranted and raved on how she could cook,

She didn’t need that recipe book.

Grandma was up and out of the house at dawn,

Doing the yard work and mowing her lawn.

She had so much energy to burn,

Watching her there was always something to learn.

She was a great inspiration for me,

As she played and laughed with our girls of 3.

I will treasure our walks and times together.

For they are embedded in my heart forever.

Grandma Lee, you will be sorely missed,

The Lord called you home, and by Him you’ll be kissed.
