On Feb. 23, 1933, Silvia Charlotte Binkhorst LeDoux was born in a little place called Fort de Kock, Indonesia. After growing up in Holland many years later, she met her soul mate Archie LeDoux and married him August 27, 1953. This marked the beginning to a brand new life with five kids all their own, and in 1962 they decided to take a new approach on life and move to the United States with only 87 dollars to both their names. They had one more child two years later. They eventually made their way to Hawthorne, CA. After many years of memories and high school graduations, Silvia, Archie and youngest son moved to Richland, WA. Here, Silvia worked at the Hanford site until finally retiring from the job market in 1992. 22 years after making the Tri-Cities her home, she died at the ripe age of 68 on December 13, 2001 at 7:5O pm at Kadlec Hospital. She left behind her children and their spouses: Arthur & Helen, Richard & Ginger, Jolanda, George & Maryann, Charles & Gigi and James & Shirley. Among them, her grandchildren: David, John, Paul, Crystal, Nita, Diane, George, Amber, Katie, Jo-Ann and Chris. As blessed as she was, she also left behind her great grandchildren: Daniel, Amanda, Amy, and Del. In heaven she is joined by her parents, Johan and Johanna Binkhorst, her husband Archie and her late grandson David. Her service will be held 7 pm on Friday Dec. 21 at Einan'sFuneral Home.
