Don F. Rullman
04/29/1953 — 01/12/2002
From West, Richland, WA, US | Born in Wallace, Idaho
Don F. Rullman
Donald Fredrick Rullman, II. age 48, of West Richland, went into the loving arms of Our Lord on Saturday, January 12, at home surrounded by his family and loved ones. Donny was born to Donald F. and Mary Jeanine Hahn Rullman, in Wallace, Idaho on April 29, 1953. He was raised along with his 3 brothers and 3 sisters in Yakima, where he enjoyed playing baseball from the age of 7 through high school. Don was a member of the Upper Valley American Legion team that took the state championship in 1971. He graduated from Carroll High School in 1971 and attended Central Washington University on a baseball scholarship. Ellensburg became his home for several years. It was here that Donny met the love of his life, Terri Marcum. Don and Terri were married on June 28, 1980 in Terris hometown of Richland. They made their home in Yakima. Donny began his tap cleaning service in 1973, and then in 1981 he established Rullmans Cleaning Service and Romar Bar Supply. He and Terri spent 20 years cleaning taps from Cle Elum/Roslyn to Walla Walla. In 1996, Donny and Terri started the Sportspage Tavern, and after several remodels and a continually growing clientele, is now known as the Sportspage Bar and Grill. He was a board member of The Kennewick Downtown Merchants Association. Donny and Terri operated the main concessions at the Benton County Fairgrounds, where he thoroughly enjoyed the horse racing industry. Donny enjoyed being active, as both a spectator and participant, in many sports including: softball, golf, and especially fishing. He and his many fishing buddies explored many fresh and salt waters throughout the Pacific Northwest, his favorite being Lake Roosevelt. Don claimed, the biggest thrill of my life, when describing catching a marlin on one of he and Terris annual trips to Hawaii to watch the Pro Bowl. He was an avid Mariners fan. Uncle D, as he was known to his many nieces and nephews, was always thrilled to spend time with each of them fishing, camping, tubing and water skiing, snowmobiling, sledding, and attending many of their activities. Donny established many life-long relationships wherever he lived. As one friend said of him, Don was the kind of man everyone wanted to be close to. Donny is survived by his loving wife, Terrill Terri Marcum Rullman, his parents, Don and Jeanine Rullman of Yakima; his three sisters and brothers in law, Janet and Rich Rouleau and their daughters Rachel, Mandy, Leah, and Heather; Teresa and Scott Carlson and their sons Nathan and Justin, all of Yakima, Jody and Dave Colglazier and their daughter Camille of Federal Way; his three brothers Mark and his son Jake of Vancouver WA, Adam and his children Adam Ty and Tiffiney of Yakima, and Tim of Spokane. Also surviving are his mother-in-law and husband, Bev and Brownie McMullen of Kennewick, brother-in-law Jeff Marcum and wife Patty and their sons Scott and Craig; sister-in-law Michelle Marcum and her children Nashika, Skylar, Jeffrey and Randall, all of Richland; and special sister-in-law Mindy Hughes and family. Don had many aunts, uncles and cousins who were very dear to him; as well as close friend, Dwayne Woodard. His brothers-in-law Rod and Randy Marcum preceded Donny in death.

I know where you are right now. You are getting another Sports Page built and when it is my time to join you I know you will have a glass of bud ready for me on murder row. We will all miss you at the page on murder row ect.

Lisa and Lori Delcampo Rachel and Mandy’s roommates and friends.
Friendships are not to be taken for granted. We lose touch with friends and wish we had taken the time to call or send a note. But I am thankful for the memories we have and being able to say Good-bye. The wonderful smile & laughter. The home that was always open and most of all the fun we had. God bless you Don.
Donny is his own best memorial. How he was loved! We’re sorry we can’t be there with you but may swirls of blessings surround you all.
Loving sympathy and prayers,
Donny made everyone feel like they were a part of his group, his family. Listening to him tell his fishing stories, you felt like you were right there…part of the action. People who weren’t even on the “1st Fishing Trip” will never forget when Donny thought he hit a skunk!
You don’t get too many chances in life to meet people like Donny. He was real and genuine. And greatly treasured.
In the short time we have been Downtown, we have good memories of our conversations with Don. He was a great listener, an encourager and a wonderful story-teller. Our hearts go out to you. He will be missed.
EVEN THOUGH YEARS PASS AND THE MILES BECOME TIME ZONES, YOU ALWAYS REMEMBER A FRIEND, AND DONNIE WAS A FRIEND TO SO MANY,,,I KNOW THAT I SPEAK NOT ONLY FOR MYSELF, BUT ON BEHALF OF ED WHEN I SAY, MAY GOD BLESS YOU AND KEEP YOU…
DONNIE.
LOVE ANDY

Terri…love lives forever.
Don was a wonderful man that if evident with the number of friends and family who loved him and your love will last an eternity. Jesus promised us to see our loved ones again.
Hold on to that…he is safe.
A Friend forever…I’ll always remember our Honey Hole!
I’ll never forget when I was running Suntides resturant and lounge. A bunch of guys were golfing and it began to pour rain. Everyone quit and came in, not Donny. When he finally came in, his sweater was so soaked, the sleeves were dragging on the ground. His smile is a stay with you thing. It touched you like the sunshine.
Hang in there Teri! Donny will get his wings and watch over you as your gaurdian angel.
We sure had alot of fun playing Legion ball back in 1971..Remember when you fell asleep in your hotel shower. We laughed for days. I will miss you Donny..
Terri, our deepest sympathy
goes out to you at this difficult time. Although we
only knew Don for a couple of
years, we admired the joie de vivre with which he embraced life and business. Knowing
him was a pleasure and an
important part of our life.
We’ll miss him.
Our sympathies to Terri and all her family for the loss of Don who was way too young to die. We hope that your fond memories will sustain you and give you strenth to carry on. Our thoughts are with you. May God bless you. Buddy & Johnnie Berst

Donnie,
I admired your ability to both work and play hard. You embraced life to the fullest and faced your pending death with grace and dignity.
Brother, I love you and will miss you dearly. Jody.
We will always remember you Donnie, from when we were kids and I watched you play baseball you were my hero, then when we were grown and you took us all out on your boat. The boys loved fishing with you. We’ll always miss you and love you.
We love and miss you, Donny.
