My fond memories of Gary are when he was a young boy. He was a very handsome young man.As a cousin we spent time together at family gatherings. Gary was always reading and very quite. Sorry we didn`t spend more time together over the years.
Gary and I were 2nd cousins. I don’t remember him well, but I remember Great Uncle Jim and Great Aunt Harriet from the family reunions we used to have. My deepest sympathies to the friends and family members that were closest to him.

Gary and I were cousins of the same age. We spent some time together when we were young. We driffted apart till the passing of his father. I was good friend of his father Uncle Jimmy as we called him We communicated a few times after that then driffted apart. Sorry we drifted apart. I will miss him. Gary may you rest in peace. you won’t be forgoten Dave Bain
Gary was my cousin that lived across the river. He will be missed as the rest of his family. Gary always sent cards and letters to my mother. She would let all of us know how he was doing. Gary will be missed. Rest in peace.
Every christmas Gary would make sure that I received my box of chocolates. As the only remaining aunt on the Bain side of the family it was nice to keep in touch with him.
I send my condolences to his family, his loss was felt by all.
Obviously I have been out of touch. Sorry to hear the news.
Gary and I shared a laboratory in graduate school and vacations with our wives to CO and NC.
Gary was a wonderful man. He’ll be missed by all his friends from Council Bluffs. I’m a High School friend and Sister-in-Law of Max and Mae Bain
We lost tuch with Gary & Marilyn after his Dad,s furnal .wished we had been closer .
I worked with Gary on the BWIP project when located on Jadwin in Richland. We enjoyed visiting and working together and as car interest friends. We enjoyed sharing car problems and resolving them. He was very sharp and experienced engineer in the Basalt Waste Isolation Project. As couples, we only got with Gary and Marilyn at our work picnics as members of Tris McCall’s group. We could always recognize Gary when driving his VW Bus. He so enjoyed it and the day-to-day experiences he would have with it. Our thoughts and prayers with Gary’s family during this difficult loss.
