Patricia Rose Carbery

Patricia Rose Carbery, age 66, died comfortably in her home 1/6/02 in West Richland. She was born in Polson, Montana on 6/24/1935. Pat resided in the Tri-Cities for 41 years and was a member of the VFW, Eagles, and Moose Lodge. She attended the Richland Lutheran Church. She retired from Denny's Restaurant in Richland, graduated from Modern Business College in 1970, and later earned her Real Estate License.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Alfred and Mabel Wendt. Pat is survived by her brothers Kenneth and Larry Wendt, sisters Doris Carlson and Linda Butler, daughter, Robin, son Kenneth, son Greg and wife Bobbie, grandchildren, Joshua, Jammie, Samantha, Christopher, and Justin, 5 great-grandchildren, and her beloved pets.

Mom enjoyed being surrounded by her friends and family, and was called ''Mom'' by many. She had a great love for the outdoors, and some of her happiest times were camping in the mountains, boating, fishing, clam digging and oyster picking at the ocean. Numerous happy days were spent with her at her property in Black Lake, Idaho. At home, when weather permitted, she would be working busily in her yard and garden. The beauty of her yard and garden showed the pride and joy she took in them. She truly loved to do her crafts and shared her talent with home-made gifts for her friends and loved ones.

She was an awesome cook and even till her last days with us we could drop by to see her and find a pot or bowl full of something scrumptious in her fridge.

Mom was a tough lady and fought a hard battle against cancer. Her courage has amazed us all.

A Remembrance and Celebration of Life for her will be held at the VFW, Cook-Erickson Post 7952, 1369 George Washington Way, Richland, WA, on Saturday, January 12 at 2:00 p.m. Donations may be made to the Tri-City Cancer Center, 7350 West Deschutes, Kennewick, WA 99336.

  • Robin, Kenny, Greg, I was saddened to learn of the passing of your mom. She was a great lady and we had alot of good times together. I still have the blanket and chair she crocheted for me. The girls still have the Easter baskets she made for them. I wasn’t aware she was sick. I am truly sorry and my prayers are with you always. Love Denise
