Larry and Jo were long time residents of Richland. Larry met Jo while he was stationed in the Army in Pittsburgh, PA. They were married in Pittsburgh on May 26, 1953 and moved to Washington shortly after. They were blessed with two beautiful daughters, Lisa and Jennifer. Larry worked as a power operator at Westinghouse and Jo was a teacher in Kennewick before the girls were born.

They were both very active and supportive members of the community. Much of their time was devoted to their children and grandchildren. They were season ticket holders of the Tri -City Americans and also had season tickets to the Seattle Reparatory Theatre and the Paramount. They loved to travel the country as well as the world. Jo was a Tri-City Tapper for many years and enjoyed entertaining people. She volunteered at the Richland Library and the Richland Players Theatre and was dedicated to fighting breast cancer by spending a great deal of time with the Reach for Recovery program. She was also a bridge player and collector. Larry was an avid tennis and bridge player. He was a handyman who enjoyed the challenge of taking things apart to learn how they worked and then putting them back together again.

They are survived by their daughter Lisa Ulrich and her children Kyle, Carly, and Kelly and daughter Jennifer Ulrich, her husband Steve Brozinick, and their child due in October. Larry is also survived by brothers Roy and Harland Ulrich and sisters, Margaret Maurer, Eillene Anderson, Wanda Anderson, and Amy Thomas. Jo is also survived by her sisters Virginia Cramer and Ellen Makay.

A memorial service will be held at 11 :00 a.m. on Tuesday April 2, at Cathedral of Joy, 1153 Gage Blvd., Richland.
