Dearest Sally, We were so sorry to hear about Charlie. Please know that our thoughts and prayers are with you and the boys. We are having a hard time seeing Charlie as a 59 year old since our memories of him are from 20-30 years ago! We will always remember him with his big curly afro, corny jokes and big heart. Other than the afro, we are pretty sure some things never changed.
All our Love,
Steve and Kathy
Damon & family,
I was sad to hear that Charlie had passed away. I enjoyed the conversations we shared while we were putting together materials for his home-improvement projects. He will be missed.

I met Charlie in May of 2001 and by July that year, after spending time with him at the Union Valley Fire, I had a very special place in my heart for him. Whenever anyone asked Charlie how he was doing he would often say – If I were any better, Id be twins. It makes me smile every time I think of it. I feel so fortunate to have had the opportunity to get to know him, he was a marvelous individual. He will truly be missed by all.
My heart bleeds for your incredible loss.
I’m so very sorry to hear of your loss. If you need someone to talk feel free to call anytime. Sheila
Charlie brought light and warmth to all those around him. While we only just met on a fire last month, I will always remeber his candor and sincere affection toward all.
God blessed us with Charlie for a time. He was a glowing example of a good and godly man. I pray we might all be so fortunate – possessing more than this world, and living accordingly.
Sally –
I was so sorry to read about Charlie. I wanted you to know I was thinking about you. Just the other day I was thinking about the fun times we had at the hockey games. My sympathies to Alice as well. Take care.

Dear Sally,
We are deeply saddened about you loosing Charlie. I can only imagine the pain you are suffering after being best friends for a long time. I hope Juan and I can become friends like you two have been. Juan feels blessed that he had the opportunity to meet and enjoy a good man like Charlie. He was a wonderful person to be around and always expressed a positive attitude. Juan will miss him a lot. When Charlie would arrive to work in the morning with is hearty greeting, a smile would appear on everyone’s face. Juan loved it when he would joke with Charlie and Charlie would let out a big chuckle.
May God continue to sustain you in your time of need and surround you with his everlasting love,
We will wait for the day that we can say, “And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things have passed away.” Revelation 21:4
