Hazel Mae Eddy Schwarz

Hazel Mae Eddy Schwarz passed away on October 2, 2002 at the Richland Life Care Center, Richland Washington. She was born to William and Inez Splattstoesser on September 23, 1924 in Minden, Nebraska, where she lived on a farm with her mother and father until they moved to Ballard, Washington in 1929. They lived there until 1939 when they moved to Hanford. She graduated from Hanford High School in Hanford, Washington in 1942. In 1943 she married George Eddy. They lived at Hanford trailer court until they moved to Echo, Oregon. She divorced George in 1953. In 1954 she married Louis Schwarz and lived in Richland the rest of her life.

Hazel was preceded in death by her parents, spouse, and sister. She is survived by her brother E. E. Butch Splattstoesser, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Hazel and Lou enjoyed going to the Pot Holes to fish. They brought home many a fish dinner. They were avid pinochle players and enjoyed playing with her parents in Benton City.

She was a member of the Redeemer Lutheran Church of Richland. Pastor Bob Thoelke will be conducting graveside services on Saturday October 5, 2002 at 3:00 PM at Sunset Memorial Gardens adjoining Einan's Funeral Home.

Visitation times will be Friday October 4th from 3 to 8 PM, and on Saturday October 5th from 10 AM to 12 PM.

Arrangements are being handled by Einan' s Funeral Home.
