Our Lord Jesus relieved our beloved Babara from the pain and suffering of cancer on Sunday November 3,2002 and took her unto himself Barbara, 73, passed away peacefully Sunday evening ~surrounded by her loving family. Barbara was born on November 24, 1928 to Daniel Morgan Miller III and Margaret Alberta Jennings Miller in Maywood, California. She and her older sisters, Elizabeth Marie Olson and Margaret Melba Miller were raised in the Los Angeles area, spending two of those years in Nephi, Utah. Barbara attended the parish elementary school at St. Michael the Archangel in southwest Los Angeles and graduated from Catholic Girls High School in 1946. On June 24, 1950, she married John Eliot Witherspoon and moved to Canoga Park, California, raising six children: Eliot Michael Marianne, Christopher Jon Katherine, Daniel Joseph Jayne, Timothy Knox Wendy, Mary Amanda Anderson and John Samuel Stacey. Her loving grandchildren are Sean, Joshua, Lindsay, Sarah, Samantha, Monique, Brittny, Tyler, and Jordan. Barb delighted in all of the activities of her children and grandchildren. Barb and her husband John moved to the Tri-Cities in 1985 and became very active in CONT ACT Teleministeries. She cherished the annual summer visits by her children and grand-children and their joyful activities on the Columbia River. She will be missed by all who knew h,er. Visitation 6:00 P.M., Vigil 7:00 P.M., November 5, 2002 at Einan's Funeral Home Chapel 915 By-Pass Highway. Funeral Mass will be held at Christ the King Catholic Church 1126 Long Avenue at I :30 P.M. Wednesday, November 6,2002. Inteffi1ent will be at San Fernando Mission Cemetery in Los Angeles, California. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to CONT ACT Teleministeries.

  • John, we were shocked to learn that Barbara had died. We learned this on Sunday, 11-10-02 when we went to Church we haven’t read the paper in a while.
