Wallace Gregg, 90, of Quincy, WA, died Wednesday, January 22, 2003 in Richland, WA. Wallace Gregg was born December 10, 1912 in Greenwood, IN to George T. Gregg and Annie Gaston. He was the seventh child in a family of twelve. He graduated from Wapato High School in 1931. He married Bonnie Dunn on June 12, 1936. His wife preceded him in death in 1993 after 56 years of married life. He was a farmer all his life. His farming followed the irrigation projects from Wapato, WA, to Nyssa, OR and to Quincy, WA.

Wallace is survived by his three children Richard of Riverside, CA, Daniel of Glastonbury, CT and Barbara Stoops of Richland, WA. He is also survived by ten grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, brothers Ira, Marion, Herschel and George and sisters Ruth, Esther and Evelyn. Surviving are sisters Gretchen and Lillian and brothers William and Jesse.

Viewing will be at 9:00 am followed by a memorial service at 10:00 am on Thursday, January 30, 2003 at Einan’s Funeral Home, 915 By-Pass Hwy, Richland, WA. Committal will be held at 12:00 Noon at Tahoma Cemetery, 1802 Tahoma Ave, Yakima, WA.

  • Grandpa made dimes disappear and told great stories that kept us kids at the table long after the meal. I remember watching nearly everything he did when we visited the farm each summer. Grandpa, you were a wise, great grandpa to have and I’m glad my children got to know you and remember you.
