Wayne LaMore Nostrant
Long time Yakima Valley resident, Wayne LaMore Nostrant, passed away Wednesday, February 19, 2003 in Richland, WA.
He was born November 3, 1927 to Hiram and Jennie Mae LaMore Nostrant, on their farm in Grandview,WA. This is now the current site of Grandview High School. Mr.Nostrant graduated from Grandview High School in 1945 then attended Washington State College in Pullman. He returned to Grandview to manage the family farm upon the death of his father.
On February 11, 1951, he and Helen Imogene Cadman were married. In 1952, Mr. Nostrant entered the construction trade as a surveyor. He retired as a Senior Project Engineer in 1996. Some of Mr. Nostrant's accomplishments include the Tri-Cities Coliseum and Kennewick Waste Treatment plant. He worked major construction projects in Washington, Alaska, Idaho, Oregon, Montana, California, Colorado, and Wyoming. Thoroughly enjoying his chosen profession.
His interests were hunting, fishing, and travel. But his greatest love was his wife and family. He enjoyed attending his grandchildren's school and sports events.
Wayne Nostrant is survived by his wife at home. Brother George Nostrant of Yakima. Eight children - Larry Vicky Nostrant, Marcia Rolf Raak, Dennis Suzanne Nostrant, Ramon Anne Nostrant, Susan Mike Skeeters, Patricia Nostrant, Randy Chris Nostrant, and Andrea Joe Kern. He also leaves behind a great number of grandchildren and extended family.
He was preceded n death by his siblings- John Nostrant, Margaret Brewster, Caroline Ice, Lyle Nostrant.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday February 22nd, 2003 at 1:00 PM at Einans Funeral Home in Richland.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to The National Kidney Foundation of Oregon and Washington, 32 N 3rd #412, Yakima, WA 98901 and to the NW Lions Foundation, 901 Boren AVE Suite 810, Seattle, WA 98104 or a charity of your choice.
Our thoughts and prayers are with Aunt Helen and the family. Uncle Wayne will be greatly missed by all.

I guess I’ll always remember Wayne from when were all teenagers–he must have had the patience of Job as we all congregated at your house there in S’side. My thoughts are with you all. See you Sat.
Helen, our thoughts and best wishs are with you in this hard time. I am speaking for mom and myself. I know it is hard to loose the one you love but he is better now.
