FLOYD AUSTIN ROBBINS Austie/Robbie Benton City, Washington
Our precious love, Floyd Austin Robbins, is now playing golf in Heaven with his Savior, Jesus Christ.
He was born to Walter M. and Mildred Groce Robbins on November 19, 1936, in Alliance Nebraska, and passed away suddenly at age 66, from a massive heart attack. He died at his home of the past 15 years, in Benton City, with his one true love, his wife Loretta Robbins at his side on Saturday, September 27th 2003 at 12:40 p.m.
One of Floyd's greatest delights was spending time with family and friends doing a variety of activities including camping, golfing, bowling, fishing, and going to various car races. Floyd loved cars and was an excellent mechanic he could fix just about anything. He enjoyed Country music, especially of the 50s and 60s.
He especially enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren. He believed and taught that all children are precious gifts to enjoy to the fullest and he dearly loved playing with and watching them.
Floyd grew up in Alliance, Nebraska where he worked the family farm and attended school. He joined the United States Navy February 1, 1957 and served as a Radioman. At age 18 he met his sweetheart Loretta Heath of Pavilion, Wyoming in Moses Lake, WA. They were married on April 19, 1958, in Quincy, WA. In 1961 they moved to Seattle, WA where he obtained his GED, attended college; completing 2 years in Electronics, and raised their three children. He worked as a Cabinet Builder, Watch Repairman attended National Watch Repairmans Institute and was certified, and for the last 15 years, as a Washington State Corrections Officer for the Tri-City Work Release facility in Pasco, WA. Floyd took serious pride in his work and did not call in for even one sick day in all his years of working.
Floyd loved life and lived every moment of each day to its absolute fullest. Golf was his passion and he was a member of the West Richland Municipal Golf Course, where he golfed nearly every morning at the crack of dawn. He loved to travel to visit family and friends and especially liked to go to Las Vegas, NV and Florida. He was known for his honesty, loyalty, integrity, sense of humor, generosity, and loving heart. He absolutely loved the outdoors and living in the country, appreciating greatly all that the Father had blessed him with.
Floyd is survived by his loving wife of 45 years; Loretta Robbins, son; Shawn Robbins, daughter; Robin Renee Robbins-Whitten, son-in-law; Mark Whitten, grandchildren; Austin and Brandon Whitten, Cortni & Tori Robbins Malek, 2 brothers, 2 sisters, 3 half-sisters, 4 half-brothers, Step-mother; Pat Robbins, numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members, and many loving friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, grandparents, and his beloved son; Curtis Scott Robbins.

UNCLE AUSTIE,
YOU,YOUR LIFE,AND THE MEMORIES OF YOU STAND AS A TALL,STRONG, AND YET GENTLE MONUMENT THAT HAS HELPED ALL OF US TO BECOME WHO WE ARE!
WE HAVE BEEN TRULY BLESSED BY YOUR SUPPORT,KINDNESS,AND LOVE.
And I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and first earth had passed away. Also there was no sea.
And I heard a loud voice from heaven saying, ” Behold the tabernacle of God is with men and He will dwell with them, and they shall be His people and God Himself will be with them and be their God. And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes; there shall be no more death, nor sorrow, nor crying; and there shall be no more pain, for the former things have passed away.” Rev. 21:1,3-4.
If Robin is a reflection of her earthly Dad, he must have been some kind of wonderful person. For we know Her heavenly Father, and can see that reflected. We look forward to meeting Aussie someday.
Our love, prayers and sympathy are with you during this time.
Loretta, Shawn, Robin and family,

We love you Aunt Loretta. We will miss Uncle Austie dearly. He was one of a kind and never will we forget him.
Though I’ve only know you for a few short 16 years, I have always been treated as one of your own. May the love you share with others be given back to you trifold in your time of change.
Dad – I love you so much — You taught me so many things and I’ll treasure you always! Save a dance for me will ya… can’t wait to see you Curt and Connor one day — but I got a lot to do here — love you always Daddy!!!
Sissy
Loretta, My deepest sympathy goes out to you. Hopefully you can find some peace in having spent ao many wonderful years with Austie. We had so many good times and they shall live in my memory for ever. Austie’s memory will never die as he was the mold of a perfect friend. God Bless you.
I remember a kind and considerate man, on occasion a rebel. Perceived as a lion by some, but the one I saw was a lamb.
