Terry Earl Chrisler

A memorial service will be held to celebrate the life of Terry Earl Chrisler who died Monday, February 9th surrounded by family and friends.

Terry was born in San Diego, CA on November 15th, 1943. Terry grew up on a farm in Burlington, OK. After graduating from Castle Rock High School in Colorado, he entered the U.S. Navy where he served on the USS Bainbridge. After completing his service he then returned to Colorado where he worked and started his nuclear energy career at Ft. St.Vrain which continued in Washington at WPPSS when he moved to the Tri-cities in 1984. During this time he received is B.S. in Nuclear Science from Regents college in New York. He was currently working as a Radiation Supervisor at Flour Federal Services.

Terry was a member of the Richland Lutheran Choir, which he was very proud of. He and his late wife Barb, were very instrumental in forming the Cancer Support group in the Tri-Cities and enjoyed being a part of their many activities. He was a member of the National Management Association.

Terry met his Fiance, Sandra Steele, on Labor Day, and during a brief time established a powerful, deep, and meaningful relationship. Terry enjoyed playing his guitar, listening to classical music, and was always ready to help anyone.

Surviving are his mother, Mildred Anderson of Kennewick; son, Will Chrisler and wife, Tracy, of Kennewick; Son, Jason Chrisle and wife, Alex, of Longmont, CO; stepson, Steve Mirdik and wife, Linda, of Las Vegas NV; stepson, John Mirdik, of Cheney, WA; and grandchildren, Parker and Aidan Chrisler of Kennewick, AJ and Scott Chrisler of Longmont, Ashley Mirdik of Las Vegas; Fiance, Sandra Steele, of Pasco.

Terry was preceded in death by his father, Byron Chrisler; wife, Barbara Chrisler; and two grandchildren, Nicholas and Hannah Chrisler.

The memorial services will be held at 11 :00 am, Saturday, February 14th at Richland Lutheran Church.

  • Will and Jason, We were very sad to hear your Dad had passed away. He was a good friend from the days we spend in the Navy together to the many years we worked and played together in Colorado. You two were part of that time as we were family friends and did many things together back then. Your Dad was a special guy and will be missed.
