Austin Charles Rice
05/15/2004 — 05/15/2004
From Richland, WA, US | Born in Kennewick, WA
Austin Charles Rice
On May 15, 2004, two weeks before his expected arrival, Austin Charles Rice was taken into Heaven and placed in the arms of God. The infant son of Jeffrey D. and Noelle Rice, left a loving sister and brother, Chloe Darby, 7, and Brady Darby, 4, all of Richland, grandparents Keith & Diane McDaniel of Richland, John & Wendy Recker of Richland, and Jeff & Maudine Rice of Richland, great grandparents Jack & Lucille Holden of Kennewick, and John H. & Willo Rice of Gorman, Texas. Austin left three aunts, Paige Holden, Katrina Recker and Melanie Chiaradia, two uncles Jake Holden and Joe Chiaradia, and one cousin, Abigail Chiaradia, all of Richland.
Our grief cannot be expressed in words, yet the heaviness of our hearts is lightened by knowing that Austin is alive in Heaven and will be there when we arrive. And although we will miss the joy of holding him and having him grow in our presence, we cannot water tomorrow's flowers with the tears of today ...our lives go on to honor him and in love to those who he has left here. We trust in the holy goodness of our Sovereign God who always does what is best for His children. We know that God's ways are better than our ways and that His decision to take Austin now was done in Love - everlasting. We may not understand but we accept and trust.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests a donation to a charity or church of choice in memory of Austin Charles Rice. A memorial service will be at Einan's Funeral Home, south lawn in Richland, on Wednesday, May 19, 2004 at 11:00 am.
