William ''Bill'' Heintz Kennewick, Wash. Oct. 31, 1923 to Oct. 31, 2004

During the evening of October 31'',81 years to the day of which Bill was welcomed into this world, while being held in the arms of his family, and surrounded by their love, Bill was released from the grip of cancer that had plagued him for the past several years. He then quietly slipped into the arms of the Lord, for his final journey home. Bill was born to William and Sarah Heintz in Albany, New York. By the age of 17, Bill joined the U.S. Navy, he served heroically on the air craft carrier, the USS Ticonderoga, as an aviation machinist mate, which whom played a key role in the Philippine Islands during WWII. After proudly defending his country during this conflict, Bill then received an honorable discharge for his service in the war, and then later moved to Seattle, Wash. where he attended photography school, and which he then opened his own photography studio in Seattle. He also, worked for Seattle Art and Photo. During which time, in the winter of 1961, he married the love of his life, Judy M. Dixon. In the following years they were blessed with the birth of their daughter Traci, and then their son Brett. The family then moved in 1966, to Bainbridge Island, WA.. In the coming years, Bill immersed himself into his family and was highly involved in many of his children's interests and activities, these included, memberships in the Bainbridge Island Saddle Club, and the Washington State and American Horseman's Associations, with certifications as an official horses how steward. During this time, Bill was District Manager for the General Analine and Film GAF. Corp., Seattle. He was then later honored, by the United States Naval command for his outstanding civilian involvement with the U.S. Naval Submarine Base, Bangor Wash. Through all this, Bi1l always put his wife and children first, be it horseshows throughout Wash. State with his daughter Traci, or chasing after his son Brett at the motor cross races which he was involved in. Once his children had grown, Bill pursued his interests in horses by riding several 100 mile legs of the Chief Joseph trail with the National Appaloosa Horseman's Assoc. In 1998, Bill and Judy move to the Tri-Cities to be with their children and grandchildren. In the past several years, Bill worked at Sears in the Columbia Center Ma1l, as a Tool Consultant. He felt the staff there, were the finest group of co-workers he has ever had the distinct pleasure of working with. Bill sincerely loved working with these people and enjoyed every minute of his time there. He has touched each person that new him in a profound way. Truly, this community has lost a great man. He will be missed by all who knew him. Bills words of wisdom, patience, and his unwavering devotion to his family, and friends, will be forever missed and remembered by all who knew and loved him. • Traci,

I know you will miss your father, but be thankful the end went quickly for him and he has gone home to the Lord. There isn’t a day that goes by that I don’t think about my mom and feel her presence with me. I know it will be that way for you too. It is going to hurt for a while but time will lessen that and hold on to all of your memories.

Give me a call if you want to talk.

    Love Linda
