Everette Lee Liddell

Everette Lee Liddell was born to Paul Richey Liddell and Elma Spruell Liddell May 24th, 1935, in New Albany, MS and passed away Dec. 28th, 2004, at home in Richland, WA.

Everett moved to Richland in 1944, went to Columbia High School, played football and was on the track team for the Richland Bombers. He graduated in 1953 and attended WSU. From there he went to the military and joined the Air Force. He married his lifelong sweetheart Sharon Mack Liddell December 22, 1954, in San Antonio, Texas. They celebrated their 50th Anniversary earlier this year, but Dad still managed to make it to and past that date.

They had four children, Paul Elsa of Valdez, AK, Phill Debbie of Richland, Pat Grace of Burbank and Pamela Jeff Supak-Liddell of Benton City; eight grandchildren: Joshua, Krystal, Kayla, Jacob, Sissy Lynn, Denise, John and Charlie; four great-grandchildren Christopher, Kelsy, Zach and John Michael; younger brother, Paul Allen Laura Liddell of St. Helens, OR; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Everette loved ice hockey and had been a season ticket holder to the Tri-City Americans since they first came here. He was a member of HAMTC Union, Richland Lutheran Church and Tri-City American Booster Club. He worked for Hanford for over 40 years before his retirement. He loved going to the Oregon Coast with his fifth wheeler. And going on the road trips with the hockey team were some of his highlights.

Everette was preceded in death by his Mother Elma Spruell Liddell and Father Paul Richey Liddell.

Visitation will be at Einan’s Funeral Home from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friday.

Funeral services will be at Einan's Funeral Home on Saturday, January 1, 2005 at 1:00 pm. Burial will follow the service at Sunset Memorial Gardens in Richland.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Tri-Cities Hospice or Tri-City Cancer Center.

  • We are saddened at Everette’s death, and wish you all the comfort we can give. All of you have our deepest sympathies. It seems like yesterday that we were all in high school, and were young and strong. How did we get old?

Love from both of us. Daryl and Pat.

  • So sorry to hear about Everett’s passing away. You and your family are in our prayers. The first thing that came to mind when I heard about him passing away I remember the New Year’s Eve party, oh so many years ago, when our husbands were working for CSC, and you and Virgil trying to break that balloon between the two of you. Still can’t help but laugh at the fun that we had way back then. May God Bless you with his PEACE. Virgil and Rita

  • May the good Lord’s peace embrace the family at this sorrowful time. No time on earth is long enough to share with those we love or to prepare our hearts for good-by.

I never had to worry when my green T-bird was parked across from Mr. Liddell’s house at Lewis & Clark Elementary. He assured me he would take good care of it and I was sure he would.

    Love to the family….Darlene

  • Everett was a dear friend and we will miss him. He will always remain in our thoughts as will his wife and children. Everett was a quiet man and such a thoughtful person. We were lucky to have spent some time with him and his family last year on the Oregon Coast.
