  • I worked with Gloria in the mid to late eighties at Family Medical Center in Walla Walla,WA. Gloria relieved me for my breaks. She had the habit of cleaning and rearranging my desk EVERY single day. I think that she really was organized and my desk drove her a bit crazy. This was a futile act on her part, as I rearranged again and again. Last summer, she stopped by my yard sale and was uncertain about her job at Sykes. She was very sure that “God will provide and answer for my prayers. She shared her family life and the fact that she was a distance from her grandchildren and missed Emery, yet loved them all very much. She drove me crazy at times, yet was always very giving and shared her food with a less fortunate co-worker, who had just moved her from Hunduras. She and Maria Tunco both came to my wedding shower and gave me a great present and well wishes. I hope the family knows how lucky they are to have had her for the short period of time. I know that her faith and your memories will be long lasting

  • Gloria will be missed here at Sykes, she was a good worker and always had a smile and a greeting for me. We talked about having our lives safe in Jesus, I know hers was which should be a comfort in this dark hour. My deepest sympathies to all the family. We will miss her too.
