Viola May Carter, 62, of Richland, went to heaven at 5:30 am on February 13, 2005 at her home, following her husband to heaven.
Viola was born on August 28, 1942 at Haverhill, Massachusetts, to her parents Charles Allen and Clarice May Holmes. Viola was raised by James Holmes.Viloa spent her early growing up years on Gilbert Ave. She attended Tilton School and attended Haverhill High School. Later on she worked as a security guard and learned locksmithing and did office cleaning.
Viola married Gregory Allen Carter in 1961; they added 2 children to their family. Viola worked at Vernon Plastics for a few years. She enjoyed many days and late nights cat fishing with her son Gregory and Cindy. Violas proudest family moments were when her grandson Steve K. Carroll and granddaughter Andrea M. Carroll graduated from High School and the Navy Boot Camp. One of her proudest career accomplishments was when she worked for Tom Wilson. Viola lived in the Tri-Cities for 20 years, prior to this she resided in Haverhill, MA and New Hampshire. Being a homemaker was her most loved occupation.
Viola is survived by her children: Wendy M. Barcelo and boyfriend David L. Burris, Gregory Boston Carter and wife Cindy Eynon. Grandchildren: Andrea M. Carroll, Steve K. Carroll, Christina M. Cummings and Isabel M. Barcelo. Her sisters: Alice Muller, Mary Whittier Fred, Mabel Deveau Nick, Jean Debours Tony, brother Douglas Buddy Allen, niece Mary Scott Freddie, Stacy, Melissa, Kevin, Michael, Eddie, Denise, Nicole and Suzan. Jeana and Tony, Steven and Brian, Teddy, Pauline, Dean and Tina, friends, Dot, Sandy, Arlene, Mary and James and numerous friends in Massachusetts and New Hampshire and numerous nieces and nephews.
Viola was preceded in death by her parents James and Clarice Holmes, Great Grammy Taker , Pauline Kershaw, Betty George, Norman Taker, Charles Oscar Allen, Gary Allen, Chris Muller Jr. and Chris Muller III.
Someday we will see you in heaven Mom and Dad.
