Jane Arlene Fetzer
Jane A. Fetzer, 72, of Kennewick, WA was born January 4, 1933, in Turtle Lake, ND. After a long battle with cancer, she passed away peacefully on March 6, 2005, at Tri-Cities Chaplaincy Hospice House.
She is survived by her beloved husband of 51 years, Harold D. Fetzer; two sons and one daughter and seven grandchildren: Craig Linda Fetzer, Beaverton, OR; Jay Fetzer, Tillamook, OR; and Jordis Greg Ernst, Chesapeake, VA; granddaughter, Caitlan Fetzer; grandsons, John and Jacob Fetzer, Beaverton, OR; Curtis and Kyle Fetzer of Tillamook, OR; grandsons, Kyle Ernst, Chesapeake, VA, Paul Ernst, U.S. Military Academy, West Point, NY.
Jane also leaves six brothers and sisters: Mildred Herring, Turtle Lake, ND, Irma Herring, Turtle Lake, ND, Eunice Sackman, Beulah, ND, Beatrice Harold Affeldt, Sartell, MN, Alfred Jordis Bergo, Johnston, IA; Bruce Roxy Bergo, Chariton, IA.
Jane was preceded in death by her parents, Carl O. and Edna Bergo, brother, Alton and sister, Verdeen.
Jane graduated from Bismarck Hospital School of Nursing in 1953 and married Harold Fetzer in September of that year.
Janes first nursing job was at Garrison, ND Hospital. She worked there on and off for several years while having a family.
Harolds job took them to Oregon for 10 years where Jane worked at The Dalles General Hospital. They arrived in the Tri-Cities in 1973, and she went to work at Kadlec Medical Center. Jane spent many years working at Kadlec Hospital and in Dr. Corrados office.
The family wishes to thank Dr. Rado and staff and Tri-Cities Chaplaincy Hospice staff including volunteers for the care and wonderful work they do.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Janes name may be made to the Tri-Cities Chaplaincy Hospice at 2108 W. Entiat Ave. Kennewick, WA 99336.
A memorial service will be held Sunday, March 13, 2005, at Lord of Life Lutheran Church, 640 N. Columbia Center Blvd. Kennewick, WA 99336 at 1:30 p.m. A reception will follow.
Please except my heartfelt sympathy, and sadness at the passing of your wife,Harold, and the mother and grandmother of your children.
