Beverly June Bennett
Beverly June Bennett Goodrich, 68, of Richland, WA, formerly of Yakima, WA went peacefully to her Lord Jesus on Saturday, November 5, 2005 due to diabetes.
Beverly was born on June 22, 1937 in Las Animas, Colorado. She lived in Richland, WA for 8.5 years until her death. She lived in Yakima for over 30 years. Beverly moved from Colorado to Grandview and Wapato as a young child. She accepted Christ at an early age. She met her husband of 50 years, Alonzo Neal, on June 20, 1954 and they were married on October 29, 1955. She gave birth to three children.
In 1966 she began cooking for the Yakima School District and became a Cook Manager in 1983. She retired in 1990. This was a true delight. She had an amazing ability to remember names, and was a friend to all who knew her. In the summers, Beverly worked at Miners Drive In. She attended Richland Assembly of God and Christian Life Center Church of God in Yakima.
Her proudest moments were the birth of her grandchildren and celebrating her 50th wedding anniversary on October 29, 2005; but above all else, seeing all her children come back to Christ.
She is survived by her husband Alonzo Neal Bennett; children Debbie Dawson Doug of Richland, Lonnie Bennett Lorie of West Valley, and Julie Anderson Kevin of Moses Lake; siblings Ann Cole Pat of Selah, Paul Goodrich Teri of Yakima; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Buford and Lorene Goodrich.
A celebration of her life is planned for Saturday, November 12, 2005 at 11:00 AM at Christian Life Center Church of God, 717 North 40th Ave., Yakima, WA. Her nephew Steve Cole will officiate.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks you make a donation to your favorite charity.

Bev’s life was a testimony of what God’s love can do. Even though there were hard times, she had joy. She was so funny and fun to be around. We will miss her for now, but will see her soon.
Bev I am so glad I was able to talk to you on the phone recently. I know you are with your heavenly father and the rest of the family that have gone on. You were an inspiration to all who knew you. Your cousin Sue Bratton.
