Danette Christine Venters
Our Danette passed away March 28, 2006 at the age of 37. She was loved by many and her faith in our Lord Jesus Christ was insurmountable.
Danette was one month old when diagnosed with a rare heart condition. She was given three months to live and sent home with her parents, Jack and Gloria Venters, to die. Anyone who knew Danette or came in contact with her was seeing a living miracle. She gave her testimony to every doctor she came in contact with. In spite of her condition, she was a shining light in this world. Danette always displayed a great sense of humor and we will all miss her contagious laugh.
Our sister also had a great love for all animals, even fish. She loved all her nieces and nephews and never missed a birthday. Her memory was uncanny and even though the doctors said that her heart was bigger than normal due to her condition, I believe it was bigger to store all the love she had for everyone. We will all miss her very much.
Survivors include parents, Jack and Gloria Venters; brother, Wes Venters and wife Becky; brother, Wade Venters and wife Erin; brother Garrett Venters and wife Carolyn; sister, Renee Stoop and husband Alex; nieces and nephews, Haley, Steele, Chance, Caden, Grady, Gunner, Beau, Jordan, Destiny and Braden; and by her dog, Lucy Little.
A celebration of Danettes life will be held at 4:00 PM Friday, March 31, 2006 at the Assembly of God Church on River Road in Benton City.
Danette always kept me laughing with her quick and witty sense of humor. We had some great times together. Our prayers are with the family at this difficult time.
Love,
Wendy
To Danette’s Family,
Danette was such a special person. She was always happy to see me, an old friend. I will always remember our days in high school Mr. Piippo’s class. We were always laughing in that class – probably should’ve been doing more work! But you couldn’t help but laugh and smile when Danette was around. My deepest sympathies,
Kelli Krieg Schreiner

Danette was a wonderful person, we are going to miss her so much. She was like a second mother to me and my brother and sisters. My children loved her lots. My daughter loved to see Danette’s nails everytime she came by, just to see what pretty colors she had. I’ll miss our little talks that we shared. I’m going to miss the laughs that we had, the hugs that you gave, and your beautiful smile. I would have to say that if you knew Danette you were given a gift, a gift of having the chance to meet a woman that cared and loved everyone and everything that came her way. She had that soft and loving presence about her. My dad loved her tremendously, he keeps her memory alive by thinking of the times they shared. He walks Lucy Lou and remembers Danette smiling when they came back to her. She was and always will be an angel in my eyes. Rest peacefully. God bless you and your family.
Always in our hearts.

We were saddend to hear of Danette’s passing. The nurses at the Richland Red Cross Donor Center greatly appreciated Danette’s kind and gentle spirit. We pray that you, her family, will be blessed with peace. Please know, that Danette did indeed touch many lives with her love. Danette was my first cousin and closet to my age. While growing up, I enjoyed the rare moments we had when our mothers would occasionally reunite. They were good times and we had so much fun playing together. Danette had a beautiful smile and a very loving spirit. She was a living miracle, and we were blessed to have her with us these short years. My mom Patricia, Dena and I will miss her very much. We all loved her.
My deepest sympathies and prayers are for my Aunt Gloria, Uncle Jack and my cousins.
Your cousin, Sheryle Mom and Dena, too.
Dear Wade, Gloria, Jack, Garrett, Renee and Wes – We were very saddened by the news of Danette’s passing. Danette is a fantastic and courageous person and I’m certain she continues to light up the lives of many at her place in Heaven. We have very fond memories of Danette. When I think of Danette I see a big smile – much like the picture on this memorial site – and a humongous heart. We hope all of you are dealing with the loss as best as possible. Hope to see you all soon. Keep the faith! Joe and Kim Northrop
Dear Venters’ Family,
Although it’s been years since our paths have crossed, we can still see the “Happy Venters” cheering all of the Bombers on. Danette was always such an entusiastic supporter of the basketball team!
Later when we chanced to meet a few times at Red Robin, Danette was always so friendly and warm.Renee and Gloria, too. Indeed, her smile and laugh were contagious!
We’ve thought and prayed for all of you many times since the Herald article last year. We are so sorry for your loss–may all your wonderful memories ease your pain.

To the Venters Family – Danette was an amazing lady. We grew up with her, Traci worked with her at Hanford Environmental Health and not one day went by that she did not have the kindest words to say and she always had the big smile of anyone we knew. She would always bring a smile to your face. She seem to always be there when you needed someone to talk to or needed some kind words to get through the day. God’s angels are busy, so sometime he puts people on earth to help those angels out when they get to busy… Danette was one of those earth bond angels.
To all of you, our thoughts and prayers go out to each of you,
GOD BLESS,
Craig, Traci, Alex and Christi Snyder

Danette was a hero. A hero for whom there were no parades, but a hero nonetheless. Her courage was unmatched. Those who shared her journey were continually inspired by her zest for life and refusal to give in to the tethers and constraints of her health issues.
Goodbye sweet friend. Your love and compassion for humanity and the animal world will be sorely missed. I doubt we have even begun to realize the enormous void you leave. I am so grateful for the time I had with you, my teacher…my friend.
Keep on shining,
Judi
