From Kennewick, WA, US | Born in Pasco, Washington
Myrna Mae Polk Frazier
Myrna Mae Polk Frazier went home to her Lord and Savior on March 17, 2006, at Hospice at the Chaplaincy, Kenewick, WA, following a long and valiant battle with cancer.
Myrna was born on June 18, 1946, in Pasco, WA, to Richard and Betty Polk. She was a life-long Tri-City resident and graduated from Richland High School in 1964.
For the past 20 years Myrna has been the personal secretary to the president of Garlick Enterprises. Prior to that, she was the Secretary and Kindergarten Teacher at Emmanuel Baptist Church in Pasco.
A voracious fan of NASCAR, Myrna carried that over into driving her Mustang real fast and has the speeding tickets to prove it! Other loves in her life were ''being the boss'' at home, dancing to the Kingsmen, and frequent trips to the Oregon coast. At Richland Baptist Church, Myrna was a member of the Adult Choir, Handbell Choir, assisted with Children's Choirs, and was a Sunday School teacher. A constant in her life was writing in her Prayer Journal every morning upon awakening. She was also an active member of Al-Anon and the PT Cruiser Club.
Myrna is survived by her husband of 34 years, Charles Frazier; daughter Shari Frazier and son-in-law, Gus Sako, of Richland; daughter Elizabeth and son-in law Eric McMurtrey, of Richland; stepdaughter, Jeanie and husband, Kent Beaver, and grandchildren, Arrin and McKayla, all of Wenatchee; sister, Marsha Polk of Richland; brother, Rick Polk of Ohio; and her beloved Maltese, Goliath. She was preceded in death by her parents, Richard and Betty Polk.
The family would like to thank the loving and caring staff at Hospice, especially Bonnie, Julie, and Maire; her boss, George Garlick, and all the employees of his companies; and the members of Richland Baptist Church, especially her best friend, Lorraine Shelby.
Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 21, 2006, at Richland Baptist Church. Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens
Visitation will be from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Monday, March 20, at Einans Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, please make donations in Myrna's name to Hospice at the Chaplaincy Endowment Wall, 2108 W. Entiat Ave, Kennewick, WA 99336.
My deepest feelings for the entire Frazier Family. And especially to my dear friend Charlie.— Myrna is finally home. From your friend with love for you all.– David F Vonderbecke

I will miss my sister deeply. Myrna was a profound influence on my life. She was my “protector”. Like the time when we were kids and she got mad at our Mom for pushing my face into a cake. :-
Myrna was the strongest Christian I have ever known. I Praise the Lord knowing she is no longer in pain and that she is in Heaven now, pestering our Mom and Dad.
Myrna was a dear sweet lady that I had the pleasure to meet and work with for the last five years. Her sincere and loving personality was a blessing for everyone that knew her. She was loved by many and she will always be remembered. God Bless her and my thoughts and prayers go out to her husband and family.
Myrna will always hold a special place in my heart. I have spent much of my life working next to Myrna. From my childhood through my adult years I have seen her faithful at her post of duty, always there with a helping hand, always willing to give her time to anyone who needed it and always ready with a word of cheer and encouragement to gladden the hearts of those around. I will always remember her for her wonderful sense of humor and her spunk and zest for life, but perhaps most importantly her wonderful Christian disposition. If there was one thing Myrna loved to talk about it was her best friend and Saviour Jesus Christ. You did not have to be around Myrna long to know that she loved her Lord and put her complete trust and faith in Him. Her relationship with God was always an inspiraton to me and one I will never forget. Myrna often told me how much she loved all of us and you know we let her know that the feeling was mutual. We will all miss Myrna but by Gods grace may we all be faithful that we may see her again.
I am so sorry for your loss. My heart goes out to all of Myrna’s family and friends!
The ones we love are never gone, they live within our hearts forever and always. You will be missed dearly. Until we meet again! I love you!
Our mommy was the best mommy anyone could ask for. Not only was she our mother…she was our best friend. She could fix anything, especially our broken hearts. We will miss her greatly but we know she is not in pain any longer and is at peace. We know she’s in heaven right now making sure everythings in order! We will miss her greatly…but will see her again.
My sincere condolences to the Family & Friends of Myrna.
We started school together at Sacajawea Grade school in the fall of 1951 & finished together at Col-Hi in the spring of 1964.
I saw her but three times since 1964 but there was always a smile and a good word.

LIZ JUST WANTED TO LET YOU KNOW THAT OUR PRAYERS ARE WITH YOU AND YOUR FAMILY…
When I first started working at Garlick Enterprises, Myrna had just won her first bout with cancer. I remember her being so positve and victorious about it that it made me unafraid of cancer. I still feel that way today and I know that Myrna was never scared of it either. Myrna was a great mentor in the business world and taught me a lot. She also reminded me often that spending time with my little girl was the most important task as a mother. I have missed her dearly since she has stopped working with me and I will remember and love her forever.
Liz, my thoughts and prayers are with you and your family at this sad time. Your mother sounds like a truly amazing woman and one that is very strong in her faith. Hopefully that sustained her in the end.
I remember the day Myrna was born. Her Dad was still in the Navy & had recently been transfered from the Pasco Naval Air Station now the regional commercial airport to the Sand Point Naval Air Station in Seattle. So the folks Mom in particular were shepherding Betty around. When the time came, I was entrusted with taking care of Fred and Helen–so we spent the day in the park. Betty’s doctor was in Kennewick, DeBit I think his name was, but there being no hospital in Kennewick at that time, it was ‘Our Lady of Lourds’ in Pasco. Myrna Mae was born there. As it happened, Dick was mustered out in Seattle and came wandering in the back door at 1115 Marshall late that evening. And you know Mom–she was all over him. He became more and more fidgety and finally murmured “Where is Betty?” Mom, of course, said “Oh, that’s right; ‘you’re a Daddy!”
Well, that’s my memory of Myrna’s first day on this old planet.
Condolances to the family from us; in memory of a lovely niece. Uncle Henry and Joyce Hammack
I consider Myrna Polk Frazier to be one of God’s special angels, messengers and witness to God’s love to us all.
I have had the great pleasure of working with Myrna for over 25 years. In all of this time I never heard her say a negative thing about anyone else – she was truly a saint.
So much of society looks first to personal interests. However, Myrna was never focused on self but rather looked first to the interests and needs of others. She was always there for anyone having a difficult day or in need -more than anyone else I have every known.
Above all she was a witness to God and Christ in her life. We know without doubt she is now in the joyeous presence of God – without pain – but she will always be missed and fondly remembered by all of us that had the joy of knowing this great, loving and incredible lady.

My prayers to your family, especially my best friend Liz.
I wish I could be there on Tuesday. All our prayers and love are with you all during this time. Can’t wait to see her again dancing with the Lord.
Myrna was a pleasure to work with. I processed the payroll for Garlick Enterprises & Myrna was my contact there.
May God give you comfort in this time of grief. We will have you in our prayers.
We will all miss our little Al-anon Sister. She was an such an inspiration and taught us a lot about compassion and connecting with a higher power.
You are the best thing that ever happened to me– All my love forever– Charlie
She extended herself to me through sporadic emails over the years. Though I barely knew her, she was always kind to me and helped me feel included. This meant a lot to me.
With my deepest feelings for the entire Frazier family and especially my good friend Charlie.– Myrna is finally home. With lots of love, your friend, David F Vonderbecke
I always looked forward to Myrna’s warm smiles and gracious manner as she delivered flowers to me at the 2420 Stevens Building. She never failed to brighten the dreariest days. She was truly an “earth angel.” I wish her family peace and comfort.
