Yewmer Fu-Mei Wang

Yewmer Fu-Mei Wang of Richland passed away Saturday, March 25, 2006, at Richland Rehabilitation where she spent her last three months. She was born July 7, 1925, in Chindao City, China to Mr. & Mrs. Hung Sen Wang. She married Patrick Wang in 1945 at the same city. As a devoted loving wife, she followed her husband to Taiwan in 1949, and then to Richland in 1985.

Her husband preceded her in death in 1987. She is survived by her son Oliver and his wife Maron, grandson Lawrence of New York City, granddaughter Constance of New York City, and many nieces and nephews in China and Taiwan.

Yewmer’s life was busily wrapped by a number of important activities: gardening, cooking, needlework and church. All her friends enjoyed her cooking and fresh garden vegetables. She enjoyed living at the Luther Senior Center for over 20 years. During her stay at Richland, Yewmer received excellent medical attention from Dr. Wong, Dr. Bowers, Dr. Deitz, Dr. Samsell, Dr. Zirkle, Dr. Giever, Dr. Chenal, Dr. Vassa, Dr. Haddadin, Dr. Boonpongmanee and Dr. Wadhwa. In the last few months, she received wonderful care from the professional staffs at Kadlec Medical Center and Richland Rehabilitation, especially Michelle. Spiritually, Yewmer cherished and appreciated the fellowship from the Tri-Cities Chinese Alliance Church. Church activities were always at the forefront of her life.

She left us in peace and gratitude. Her family and friends will carry on the torch and celebration of life. We love you, Yewmer, our mother, grandmother, sister and friend. A memorial service will be held Thursday, March 30 at Einan’s Funeral Home, with viewing and reception at 2:00 PM and the service beginning at 2:30 PM. Memorials, if desired, may be made to the Tri-Cities Chinese Alliance Church.

  • Dear Elder Wang,

I’ll always have you in my heart, and remember you in my mind. You have LOVED me so deep for so many years and in so many ways.

Words simply can not describe my feeling. But God knows, and I’m sure that God will tell you and comfort you.
