Darrell Wayne Plumb
Darrell Wayne Plumb, age 51 was taken from us tragically this past week. He was born on February 27, 1955 to Jack and Dorothy Plumb. He was a very loving and caring man who did whatever he could for you. He spent his childhood in Richland, graduating from Columbia/Richland High School in 1973. During his growing-up years he was involved in Youth Baseball from Little League up to American Legion. Baseball was his favorite sport and whether good or bad, he was always a Mariners fan. In 1974 he then joined the Army where he was a Military Policeman. After he was honorably discharged from the Army he moved back to the Tri-Cities for awhile and then moved to Bothell, WA where he worked in Commercial Construction.
Darrell was a very friendly, likeable person and loved his family deeply. He always had a strong faith in the Lord that carried him through his life. He is survived by his parents, Jack and Dorothy Plumb, brother Danny Plumb and two sisters, Jackie Chapin and Joni Weil, and his four children, Mary Jo Plumb, Eric, Jeremy, and Nathanael Blum, Aunts, Uncles, and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins that he loved and cared a lot about. He was preceded in death by his brother Curtis Duke Plumb, Grandparents Cecil ''Mac'' and Evelyn McCrarey and his Grandmother Betty Burchell and his niece Stephanie Weil.
Darrell, you will truly be missed by all of us; your passing has left a big void in our hearts and until we see you again, we will always love you son, father, big brother, and uncle. You were a very gentle person and a good man. Love you - your family.
Graveside services will be held on Thursday, May 4 at 1:00 p.m. at Sunset Memorial Gardens off the by-pass highway in Richland, WA.
Darrell, my big brother I love you and I will miss you terribly. Whenever I was down, lonely, afraid, or happy you were always there. I could always count on you to make me laugh and take me out of a bad mood by your jokes and boistrous laughter, we had a lot of fun times together and I will always hold many memories of you in my heart forever. Be at peace Darrell and know you will always be loved.
Your little sister
I”ve known Darrell since we were in the first grade. He was always a joy to be around and I will miss him greatly. I always thought of him as a brother and will remember him as such. My thoughts and prayers go out to all he left behind. Be at piece my friend!

Our paths did not cross much, but when they did I was always greeted with a big smile, a warm heart, and a great joke. I will miss you the rest of my days until our paths cross once again. -Rest in Peace-
Uncle Darrell, you were an awesome uncle and I am going to greatly miss you. Thank you for all that you’ve done for us with your jokes and hugs. You were always able to brighten our day. Take care up there and know that I love you!!!
I have a lot of wonderful memories over the years of going over to Aunt Dorothy and Uncle Jack’s house and playing with Darrell and my other cousins. My fondest memory of Darrell, was when I went over and Darrell played his new 45 record for me. It was Crocidile Rock, by Elton John.. Darrell was always such a loving and wonderful person even though we did not see each other over the years that often Darrell always had a BIG HUG for me when ever we did see each other, I will truly miss him…
Our deepest sympathies are with all of you at this time. You are all in our thoughts and prayers – please let us know if there is anything that we can do.
Love,
Dave & Sharon
