Ernest Vance Cosens, 81, of Pasco, passed away April 12, 2006 at Kadlec Medical Center in Richland. He was born September 28, 1924 in Portland, Oregon.

He was raised in Munson, Alberta, Canada on the family wheat farm homestead and attended school in a one-room schoolhouse. After joining the Air Force he pursued a career as a jet mechanic, retiring as a Chief Master Sergeant, the highest rank for a non-com. Ernest enjoyed his travels in the Air Force, especially the six years he spent in Europe. He served with occupation forces in Germany after WWII, and at Da Nang Air Force Base in Vietnam during the 70’s.

Ernest was very proud of his family and is survived by his wife, Luella Cosens; daughter, Cindy Zemblowski and husband Andrew; granddaughter, Jessica Zemblowski; sisters Lavinna Edwards and Beverly Buchwald.

Graveside services will be held at 1:00 PM Tuesday, April 18, 2006 at Sunset Memorial Gardens, Richland. Visitation will be Monday the 17th from 5:00-8:00 PM at Einan’s Funeral Home.
