Frank Lowell Hirsch
Frank L. Hirsch, 73, passed away on April 29th, 2006 at Kadlec Medical Center in Richland, WA. Frank was born in Pasadena CA, on March 12th, 1933 to Mr. and Mrs. Benny Hirsch. He joined the Army in 1950 and served in the Korean War. In 1952 Frank met and married the love of his life, Joy Woodbridge. They started their family in Southern CA, and later moved to Seattle, WA where they had the last two of their four children. They moved to the Tri-Cities in 1965 where Frank worked on the Hanford Project and retired in 1992. He had many hobbies, but loved flying model airplanes. He was an active member of the R/C Modelers Flying Club, where he spent many hours flying with his buddies.
He will be greatly missed by his wife of 54 years, Joy Hirsch, children and their spouses, Deborah Mitchell, Linda Baumgarten Scot, David Hirsch Kim, Terry Hirsch Kathee, brother Donald Hirsch, sister Sharrie Carrabine John, sister Carol Chartrand Cliff, sister Marie Garrison Jim and several grandchildren and great grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his father Benny Hirsch, mother Lillian Hirsch, and brother Robert Sullivan.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Higgins Field Miniature Aircraft Association located on Horn Road across from the Rifle Range in Benton City on Saturday, May 6, 2006 at 11 :30 AM.
Frank was my big brother,after 64 years I finnaly got to meet him and his family. I feel very lucky to have found him at last. I had two years to get to know him and wish it could have been a lot longer. I love Frank and all of his family. Frank was a very special guy, he was always teasing me and had such a great sense of humor and I will surly miss that, I do have a lot of good memories to fall back on. may god bless the family. I was lucky to meet my Uncle Frank about this time last year. I enjoyed the time getting to know him and enjoying his sense of humor. He will be missed by all. Sherrie’s daughter, Cindy Murphree.
Dad, I sure do miss you, this is the hard’ist thing I have ever gone through, I know having you for a dad and living across the street from you and mom for years has been a real blessing in my life and my whole family. I will miss seeing you every day and waiting for your calls, we love dad and will always remember you always

Dear Joy and Family – My love and good thoughts go out to each and everyone of you. Frank was my first cousin, our Fathers were brothers. I don’t think that we’ve ever met but we’ve been close via email the last few years – thank heavens for that. I just want to send my love and tell you that you are all in my prayers!

Man could you put smiles on peoples faces! You always were such a jokester, with your hats and fake wigs…lol..and you always offering me to take a ride in your tiny remote controlled airplane. You always could make me laugh thats for sure. Love you forever and ever. I think of you alot and miss you every day. I love you Grandpa!!!!

The flying field will never be the same without Frank’s laughter. Nobody enjoyed flying and his friends more than Frank!
Thank you for all the memories and thanks for teaching me to fly.
I’m very sorry about Frank’s passing. We were about to enjoy another summer’s flying together. He was a good friend to me.
