Larry Jay Brittain

Larry Brittain of Richland was suddenly, surprisingly called home on Thursday, April 20th, at the age of 53.

Larry is survived by his wife, Karen; daughter Jennifer Kist; son-in-law Kasey Kist; daughter Kristen; and son John. Also surviving are his parents, Bart and Carol Brittain of Walla Walla, brothers Ken and Brian, and other members of the extended family.

Those closest to Larry remember him as a loving husband and wonderful father. He had a great gift for spreading love and laughter everywhere he went. He was a lifelong baseball fan, particularly following the Seattle Mariners. The steady strength and support he offered to all who knew him will be missed.

Larry invested 28 years in helping people as an insurance adjuster. The last 24 of those years were with Zaremba Claims Service, where he was a partner in the firm and managed their Pasco office. He recently spent three months in New Orleans helping out in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina.

Visitation and viewing are set for Sunday, 4PM to 7PM, Einan’s Funeral Home 915 Bypass Highway; the funeral will be Monday, 11AM, at Richland Lutheran Church a reception will follow; graveside services will be held Tuesday at 2PM, at Blue Mountain Memorial Cemetery in Walla Walla.
