Lola Bernice Phillips, 84, of Richland and died April 5, 2006.

She was born May 9, 1921 in Silver Creek, Nebraska to Albert and Julia ''Horky'' Scheer. She was the second of five children.

The Scheer family moved to San Francisco in the early 1930's and then later to Scio, Oregon.

After graduating from Scio High School, she moved back to the San Francisco Bay Area where she lived most of her life.

Her work career spanned over 50 years. She rose to the position of Executive Secretary for corporate managers of major electronic subsidiaries such as Philco Ford, RCA and General Electric.

After her retirement from the corporate world she continued to perform community volunteer work until 2000 at which time she moved to live with family in Richland.

She is survived by her brother, Victor Scheer, her children Dale & Eve Herling, grandchildren, Darrell Herling, Wendy Krause and Joy Rodriguez. Great Grandchildren include Breanne, Nicole and Devin.

She will be missed by all who knew her.

Memorial services held at 1:00 P.M. Monday, April 10tb at the Meadow Springs Presbyterian Church in Richland.
